So, we all set New Year's resolutions, right? Maybe your resolution this year is to keep the house cleaner, make more home-cooked meals, or extend your professional network. The 2009 Year End Convention may not be able to help you tidy up your house or transform you into Rachael Ray, but the convention will expose you to many young professionals across North Carolina. By coming to Year End Convention you'll probably be able to meet a politician on Friday, a teacher or accountant on Saturday, and an engineer on Sunday! The training sessions offered on Saturday will give you the chance to meet in smaller groups and meet new people interested in learning similar skills. The Friday and Saturday night banquets will allow you to unwind a bit and celebrate and socialize with folks from Jaycee chapters across North Carolina.
To ensure you keep your New Year's resolution to extend your professional rolodex, challenge yourself to meet new people. Whether it's in a training session, on the capitol, or on the dance floor take the time to learn something about the person you've introduced yourself to. You never know how valuable that new contact may be someday. Happy New Year!
